October at Funtastic was full of spooky (but not scary) fun! Kids got creative with fall-themed crafts that celebrated the season with color, imagination, and plenty of smiles. From superheroes to spiders, every week brought a new project to inspire little hands and big creativity.
If you couldn’t make it this month, here’s a look back at the fun so far — and a preview of what’s still to come!
October 1 – Super Hero Mask Craft (10:30–11:30 AM)
We started the month with a super creative activity! Kiddos designed their very own superhero masks, choosing bright colors, bold shapes, and unique designs. It was all about imagination — each mask reflected a different hero with their own special powers.
Parents loved watching their little ones light up as they discovered their inner superheroes. The finished masks were a huge hit, with kids proudly wearing them as they zipped off to save the day around the play area.
October 7 – Spiderweb Craft (10:30–11:30 AM)
Things got delightfully spooky with our Spiderweb Craft! Using yarn, paper plates, and a touch of creativity, kids created their very own spiderwebs — just in time for fall. It was a perfect craft for mixing seasonal fun with a hands-on activity.
“Creep it real” was the motto of the day as little artists focused on weaving and wrapping their webs. The best part? The crafts looked festive without being frightening — great for even the youngest visitors!
October 8 – Pinecone Spider Craft (10:30–11:30 AM)
Next up, nature met creativity with our Pinecone Spider Craft. Kids turned simple pinecones into adorable eight-legged friends, using googly eyes, pipe cleaners, and imagination to bring their spiders to life.
This craft was a favorite because it combined outdoor materials with a fun fall theme. The finished pinecone spiders made perfect decorations to take home — silly, not spooky, and totally unique.
October 14 – Canvas Comb Painting Craft (10:30–11:30 AM)
Kids got a little messy (and a lot creative) with our Canvas Comb Painting Craft! Using pinecones, paint, and brushes, they dipped, rolled, and stamped their way to one-of-a-kind masterpieces full of texture and color.
Each child’s artwork was completely unique — a mix of forest-inspired patterns and playful imagination. The finished pieces made perfect fall keepsakes to display at home or share with family.
October 15 – Pumpkin Mask Craft (10:30–11:30 AM)
Nothing says October quite like pumpkins! For this craft, kids carved out their creativity by making their own pumpkin masks. They cut, colored, and decorated jack-o’-lantern faces that were as cheerful or spooky as they wanted.
The results were full of personality — some masks made everyone laugh, while others looked ready for trick-or-treating. Parents loved how this craft encouraged imagination and creativity in a classic fall theme.
October 21 – Cotton Ball Ghost Craft (10:30–11:30 AM)
Boo-tiful fun took center stage with our Cotton Ball Ghost Craft! Kids dipped, glued, and layered fluffy cotton balls to build their very own friendly ghosts.
This craft was simple but full of charm — the perfect mix of tactile play and seasonal fun. Each ghost came to life with big eyes and goofy grins, ready to float home as the cutest Halloween decoration around.
October 22 – Witch Hat Craft (10:30–11:30 AM)
Our little crafters let their imaginations fly high during the Witch Hat Craft! Using paper, glue, and plenty of sparkle, kids folded cones, added wide brims, and decorated their very own witch hats.
Each hat reflected its creator — from glittery masterpieces to silly, spooky styles. The activity gave everyone a chance to mix creativity with a dash of Halloween magic, and the smiles said it all!
October 28 – Paper Plate Scarecrow Craft (10:30–11:30 AM)
We wrapped up the month’s craft sessions with a harvest-time favorite — Paper Plate Scarecrows! Kids cut, glued, and assembled their own cheerful scarecrows, complete with straw hair, silly faces, and plenty of fall flair.
This craft was a perfect blend of imagination and motor skills practice. Every scarecrow looked different — some goofy, some sweet, and all full of personality!
October 29 – Spider Headband Craft (10:30–11:30 AM)
To close out October’s creative lineup, kids crafted spooky-cute Spider Headbands. Each one featured wiggly legs, googly eyes, and a big dose of Halloween fun!
This was one of our most popular crafts of the month — easy to make, fun to wear, and perfect for showing off during our big Halloween celebration later that day.
October 29 – Halloween Glow Party (All Day Event)
We ended the month with a glowing good time at our Halloween Glow Party! The day was filled with color, laughter, and Halloween excitement from start to finish.
